Personalised Mens Rings - Why Personalisation Matters

Engraved in-house by Titan Jewellery with expert laser precision.
A ring may begin life as a simple band of metal, but with the addition of a name, date, or detail, it can take on meaning far beyond its form. For many men, personalisation transforms a piece of jewellery into something private—something loaded with emotion or significance. Whether that detail is a hidden engraving, a fingerprint, or a coded message, personalised men’s rings offer far more than style. They represent a moment, a promise, or a memory.
At Titan Jewellery, we engrave every ring ourselves in our own workshop using professional high-powered lasers. These lasers were custom-built to our exact specifications, designed specifically to cope with the toughness of the alternative metals we engrave. This process allows us to produce fine detail, consistent clarity, and lasting results—whether the engraving is inside the band or on the exterior. A personalised ring should be as individual as the man who wears it.
Types of Personalised Rings for Men
Personalisation can mean different things to different people. For some, it is a romantic phrase shared between partners. For others, it may be a private joke, a family tribute, or a meaningful quote. Below are the most common types of engraving that our customers request.
Fingerprint Rings
A fingerprint ring offers a deeply personal and visual way to represent connection. Whether chosen as a memorial, a gift, or a wedding ring, it allows you to carry a loved one’s touch wherever you go.
We use a laser to engrave the fingerprint directly onto the ring after carefully cleaning and preparing the image. This creates a one-of-a-kind design. Since no two fingerprints are identical, the result is unmistakably personal.
Engraved Messages
Many men’s custom rings include a short message, often hidden on the inside of the band. These words might be emotional, humorous, symbolic—or all three. Most of our rings can accommodate 20 to 30 characters, depending on width and style.
Messages range from romantic to tongue-in-cheek:
- Always yours
- Property of [name]
- Forever & ever
- Non-refundable
- To the moon and back
- Certified husband material

Roman Numerals and Morse Code
For those seeking something subtle or symbolic, Roman numerals and Morse code offer elegant solutions.
- Our Roman numeral converter tool allows you to enter any date and see it in Roman format. Many customers choose to commemorate wedding dates, birthdays, or anniversaries this way.
- With our Morse code tool, your message becomes a sequence of engraved dots and dashes. This is especially useful for private phrases only understood by the wearer and their partner.
These styles create understated rings that still carry significant emotional value.
Best Metals for Custom Rings
While almost any metal can be engraved, some lend themselves more naturally to customisation due to their appearance and engraving contrast. At Titan Jewellery, we work primarily with alternative metals, though traditional options are available upon request.
Titanium
A practical and widely appreciated choice, titanium offers a modern look, is comfortable to wear, and accepts engraving with clarity. It is suitable for everyday use and is especially popular for wedding bands and promise rings. We offer both polished and matte finishes, depending on your preference.
Our engraved titanium rings are crafted with precision and care, offering space for either inner or outer engraving, depending on the design.

Tantalum
Tantalum is a darker, denser metal that has become increasingly popular with men seeking a contemporary yet understated ring. Its smooth finish and visual weight give it a strong, refined presence.
When engraved, tantalum offers crisp detail. It is particularly well-suited to fingerprint designs, personal messages, or codes. We offer several styles of tantalum rings in brushed and polished finishes, each capable of being made entirely unique.
Silver and Gold
Although we specialise in alternative metals, we are pleased to offer personalised jewellery for men in sterling silver, 9ct gold, and 18ct gold. Both materials allow traditional engraving with excellent legibility, and they are often chosen for their association with heritage and ceremony.
Please contact us directly if you are interested in ordering a custom ring in a precious metal. All gold and silver rings are made to order and engraved in-house to the same high standards.
How We Personalise Your Ring
Each personalised ring is engraved at our workshop using fibre laser technology. This ensures accuracy and control, particularly on detailed or compact messages. We do not outsource engraving—every design is handled in our own workshop by our own team.
Our typical engraving process follows these steps:
- Select Your Ring – Choose the style, material, and size that best suits the wearer.
- Submit Your Message – Enter your engraving details during checkout or email a fingerprint or use one of our custom tools.
- Engraving – Your message or design is carefully engraved using our high-powered laser.
- Finishing Touches – We clean and polish the ring to ensure it is ready to wear.
- Dispatch – Most engraved rings are completed and shipped within 1 to 5 working days. Complex designs may take up to 10 days.
We also offer the following tools to support your design process:
- Fingerprint Cleaning Tool
- Roman Numeral Date Converter
- Engraving UTF Characters
- Morse Code Date Converter
If you need assistance, we are happy to guide you through your options.

Further Personalisation for a Memory Ring
For those looking to carry a physical reminder of a place or person, our memory ring offers a unique alternative. Designed with recessed sections, the ring can be filled by a trusted jeweller with meaningful materials such as ashes, hair, sand, or crushed rock.
While we do not complete the filling ourselves, we supply the blank ring ready for personalisation and can engrave any accompanying message to mark its significance.
One of our sample rings, shown here, contains crushed brown rock collected from Babadag mountain and crushed pebbles from the Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz — making it a deeply personal memento of a special wedding location.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I engrave any message?
We can engrave most messages, if they are appropriate and do not breach any legal or copyright restrictions. Character limits depend on the ring’s width and style. For longer designs, our titanium dog tag may be more suitable.
Is fingerprint engraving permanent?
Yes. A fingerprint engraving is cut directly into the metal using a high-powered laser. It will not rub off or fade over time. As with any engraved surface, natural wear from daily use may soften the appearance slightly on certain metals, but the design remains part of the ring.
