The brushed finish

A brushed finish alters how tungsten reflects light. Instead of producing a mirror reflection, the exterior surface diffuses light across the band, giving the ring a softer satin appearance in everyday lighting. On tungsten carbide the texture tends to appear darker and more even than brushed finishes on lighter metals, because the underlying metal has a deeper grey tone.

Ring profiles and spinner styles

Court, comfort fit and flat profiles each change how the ring sits on the finger. Court profiles have a rounded exterior with a curved interior, giving the band a traditional shape that rolls smoothly over the knuckle. Comfort fit rings take that curvature further on the inside edge, reducing pressure where the band contacts the finger.

Flat profiles have straight sides and defined edges, giving the ring a more angular shape. This makes brushed finishes especially visible across the centre of the band.

Weight and feel

When someone first picks up a tungsten ring, the weight is usually the first thing they notice. Tungsten carbide is denser than most precious metals used for wedding rings, so the band feels substantial even at moderate widths.

Engraving

Tungsten carbide rings can be laser engraved on the inside of the band. Couples commonly add wedding dates, initials or a short personal message.

Sizing and fit

Tungsten rings cannot be resized, so choosing the correct finger size from the start is important. Our brushed tungsten rings are available from stock in UK finger sizes J to Z+11, covering most common men’s and women’s finger sizes.
